Alice Yu is a New York-based documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, producer and editor. So she’s gotta really love all aspects of visual storytelling huh. But digital series and longer-forms docs are the closest to her heart.
Alice holds a B.A. in Communication, a B. S. in Psychology from Purdue University, and an M.A. in Journalism from the News & Documentary program at New York University. Her thesis documentary, Rootless, screened at the 2015 Margaret Mead Documentary Film Festival and the Montclair Film Festival.
Her bilingual / multicultural / sometimes (often…times) minority / (and of course) food-adventurer background is her guiding star to be a curious but thoughtful observer of the human perspectives.
She’s been working as a digital video producer at CNN.
